Entrepreneurship, Numbers, and Clarity

Celebrating tonight as I wrap up our tax prep for the year. 🎉

And when I think about it, the jumping for joy isn’t just checking that box, or not having to sit inside all day tomorrow! 😆

(Yes, I really have to make myself do that.)

As a fully self-employed, multi-tasking Mom, this season forces something important:

Actually sitting down with the numbers, and asking some pointed questions.

What’s working?

What’s not?

What’s costing more energy than it’s giving back?

What do we want to keep?

What do we want to change?

The activity is not my favorite, but it is clarifying, and the discussions that result lead to a bigger, more exciting vision.

And there’s something else worth celebrating too…

The money itself.

How it was earned.

Where it came from.

What it represents.

Not glossing over it.

Not minimizing it.

Not immediately worrying about the next thing.

Just acknowledging that this came from our work, skills, vision, time, passion, grit and creativity.

There’s real power in letting that sink in. In receiving and embracing what you’ve accomplished in a year, and then…

Choosing to be open to receive more and to grow, without guilt or apology.

It’s time to celebrate… not only filling numbers in, but also breathing in the renewed clarity and focus, entrepreneurship, family accomplishments, and the quiet confidence that comes from really knowing where you stand, and then having the faith to build what comes next.
