Why is it that as ranchers and horse people, we give everything to our animals and sometimes forget ourselves?

Maybe it’s because this lifestyle is unpredictable?

Maybe because we live it with our whole hearts for helping these amazing animals and the rest slips by us?

Maybe it’s because time passes quickly each day, filled with (often) physically demanding activities that don’t leave room for more?

Maybe something else?

Midlife seems like a time to take a moment and reassess.
Maybe pause and ask yourself,

Can I keep going like this?
Is this sustainable?
Am I ready to make myself a priority so I can keep living this life I love?
Where has this extra weight snuck up from?
Why and I so sore every day?
